About us
Tecnita was founded by Anna Rovelli Olofsson in 1983 with the name Språkverkstaden HB.
Björn joined the company full time in 1987. The same year it was converted into a limited company, Tecnita AB, with translation into Italian and Swedish as the main products.
Since 2005 Björn is the sole translator in the company. Björn also offers translator training, journalism and copywriting in Swedish.
Anna is now mainly responsible for Tecnita’s administrative functions.
Tecnita is well established on the Swedish translation market as a reputable and reliable supplier and partner.
Who are we
Björn Olofsson
Björn, born in Karlstad in 1960, is a mechanical engineer with a passion for technology and languages. He is a member of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators (SFÖ) since 1991. Björn lives in Västerås and his family consists of Anna and five now adult children. His spare time is devoted to martial arts, photography, books, and association activity in both SFÖ, Västerås Karate Center and the Swedish Humanist Association.
Anna Rovelli Olofsson
Anna, born in Rome in 1959, is a qualified translator and interpreter (Rome 1982), as well as a graphic designer in the field of printed matter (Stockholm 2011) and account assistant (Västerås 2018). She has been curious about language since childhood. Anna lives in Västerås since 1982. Her family consists of Björn and their five children. In her spare time Anna is engaged both as a singer and as a committee member in Västerås Show Chorus. She also has a passion for photography, image editing and textile work.
